writer, photographer, adventurer and creator
I am an adventure seeker – a fan of the kind of fun that you have to work for. I enjoy running during a heavy summer rain, chopping wood to build a campfire on a chilly night, and hiking or bike-packing to remote cabins and campsites. However, for the past five years (four of which I was in ALASKA) I neglected pursuing such adventures for work and other commitments. I spent hours mindlessly browsing the internet, combing through photographs, blogs and videos, envious of the lives of strangers. With this blog I hope to inspire others that are stuck to take the time to explore and enjoy the world and its wonders.
I would be remiss without thanking my friend Dani, who joined me on so many of my Alaskan bucket list adventures. She gave me the adventure companion I needed; never turning down a single crazy idea that popped into my head. I’d also like to give a shout out my family, who always support my adventures despite their reservations about my solo trips. I am also grateful to those who doubt me – the nay sayers of the world – for giving me the extra drive to accomplish things in spite of them.
If you find yourself reading my blog or perusing my photographs, wishing you had the time to go on adventures of your own, here is my advice: GO. Do it. You are the only thing holding you back – and I have to remind myself of that all the time. This blog is my way of saying that, whatever you dream is, you can and SHOULD go for it. There will always be doubters, worriers, and naysayers; but the only thing you will regret is allowing that to stop you.
I hope you enjoy the blog! Please give it a follow and a share!
